Allen-Bradley 1738-AENTR Ethernet Interface Module
Allen-Bradley 1738-AENTR Ethernet Interface Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1738-AENTR ArmorPoint Ethernet/IP Adapter provides a two-port interface between an EtherNet/IP network and ArmorPOINT I/O, enabling remote I/O expansion in rugged industrial environments. The device uses M12 Quick-Disconnect field wiring connectors and supports two EtherNet/IP ports for daisy-chain or redundant connections to ArmorPOINT I/O modules. It is powered from a 10–28 V DC field-side supply (nominal 24 V DC) drawing about 30 mA, with a power consumption of roughly 4.5 W at 24 V, an inrush current of up to 6 A for 10 ms, and a maximum dissipation of 2.8 W at 28.8 V. The adapter provides a maximum backplane/PointBus current of 0.8 A (at 5 V DC, ±5%), shared across its connected ArmorPOINT I/O devices. As an EtherNet/IP adapter, it enables integrated control and data exchange between a PLC or controller and ArmorPOINT I/O modules on the same network, supporting ArmorPOINT I/O architecture for distributed control and scalable I/O deployment.
