Allen-Bradley 1738-SSIM23 ArmorPoint I/O SSI Absolute Encoder Module is a rugged, single-channel SSI input card for ArmorPoint I/O networks that interfaces with absolute encoders using the standard SSI protocol, including linear scales, rotary encoders, and optical distance measuring devices. The M23 variant, 1738-SSIM23, integrates into ArmorPoint I/O and transmits encoder position data to the host over DeviceNet, ControlNet, Ethernet, and PROFIBUS networks, enabling centralized monitoring and control of absolute position in distributed automation setups.
