The Allen-Bradley 1745-E105 Expansion Unit is a 12-point relay-output expansion module for the SLC 100 family that increases a backplane-based PLC’s I/O capacity. When paired with an SLC 100 processor or an SLC 150 processor, it adds 12 relay outputs, allowing the system to reach up to 112 I/O points total. As part of the SLC 100 Expansion Units, the E105 uses the standard 1745-series backplane interface and preserves the modular form factor for retrofits in existing cabinets. Typical applications include remotely switching loads via relays, such as actuators, indicators, or other field devices controlled by the SLC 100 controller.
