Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1746-OX8 is an eight-channel isolated relay output module designed for the SLC 500 family, enabling discrete field loads to be controlled by a compatible PLC without sharing a common return with the logic. Each of the eight relay outputs provides galvanic isolation from the controller and supports switching loads in the ranges of 5-250 VAC or 5-125 VDC, making it suitable for a variety of AC and DC signaling and load-control tasks. The module plugs into a 1746 backplane in an SLC 500 chassis and communicates with the CPU via the standard backplane bus, providing straightforward wiring of external relays and contactors while keeping logic and field circuits electrically separated.
