Allen-Bradley 1746-1V16 SLC 500 16-Point Input Module

Allen-Bradley 1746-1V16 (1746-IV16) is a 16-point DC sourcing input module for the SLC 500 PLC family. It delivers 16 isolated digital input channels that accept 10–30 V DC signals, with a 24 V DC nominal operating level, and it plugs into a 1746 backplane in an SLC 500 rack. Each channel is isolated from the backplane with 500 V DC isolation, helping protect the controller from field transients; the module draws backplane current of about 85 mA at 5 V and supports a typical 8 ms signal delay from input to data word. This module is used for general-purpose DC sensing from field devices such as pushbuttons, limit switches, and other 24 V DC sensors, and it is typically configured in RSLogix 500 as 1746-IV16 in the I/O image.
