Allen-Bradley 1746-A7 7-Slot Rack Backplane Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1746-A7 is a 7-slot SLC-500 rack backplane designed to host a CPU, I/O and communications modules in a single chassis and is intended for use with the 1746-P1 power supply to feed the backplane. The first slot (slot 0) is typically reserved for the CPU or a network adapter, while the remaining six slots accommodate I/O and expansion modules. The backplane provides power distribution and signaling for all installed modules, with a backplane current rating of up to 10 A at 5 VDC. The enclosure is specified for 0 to 60 °C operation and up to 95% relative humidity, with storage temperatures from -40 to 85 °C, making it suitable for industrial environments. This 7-slot rack is a classic SLC-500 hardware component used in Rockwell Automation control systems to organize and connect CPU, I/O, and communication modules in a single removable rack.
