The Allen-Bradley 1746-BAS BASIC Language Module is a single-slot BASIC language co-processor for the SLC 500 family that executes user-written BASIC programs to perform custom communications and control tasks. It provides two serial ports, PRT1 and PRT2, with support for RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 networks, including DH-485 networking. The module ships with 24 KB of battery-backed RAM for program and data storage and offers optional memory expansion via 1747-M1 or 1747-M2 modules. Programming is performed with the 1747-PBASE BASIC development software.
