Description:

Allen-Bradley 1746-FIO4V is a SLC 500 fast analog combination I/O module that combines two analog input channels with two analog voltage outputs on a single 1746‑format card. Each input channel is differential and configurable per channel to accept either voltage or current signals, typically 0–10 V DC or 0–20 mA, enabling sensors and transducers to be wired flexibly without swapping modules. The two output channels provide voltage outputs (grouped together) for actuating analog devices or signal conditioning circuits. The module wires to a 1746 backplane in an SLC 500 rack and uses a removable wiring connector (1746‑N3) for field connections. Backplane current requirements are published as 55 mA at 5 V and 120 mA at 24 V, reflecting typical SLC 500 backplane power configurations. As part of the fast analog family, the 1746-FIO4V shares timing and performance characteristics with other FIO4 modules, delivering quick analog conversion for mixed input/output tasks. This makes it a compact, single-card solution for small-scale analog control loops, where you need both sensor inputs and actuator outputs in one module within an existing SLC 500 installation.
