Allen-Bradley 1746-HSCE2 High Speed Counter Encoder Module

The Allen-Bradley 1746-HSCE2 is a four-channel high-speed counter input module for the SLC 500 PLC family, engineered to capture rapid encoder pulses and feed reliable count data into ladder logic for motion and position control on automated lines. Each channel accepts differential encoder signals (A, B and Z) and converts them into independent counter inputs, with opto-isolated input circuitry to improve noise immunity in harsh factory environments and to protect the PLC from transients on field wiring. The module is designed for 5–24 V DC operation, mounts in a standard 1746 I/O rack, and maps its four counters into the SLC 500 data image so you can monitor, reset, or index counts from your PLC program with predictable timing.
