The Allen-Bradley 1746-IA16 is a 16-channel AC input module designed for the SLC 500 PLC family, providing a convenient way to bring line-voltage signals into the controller. Each of the 16 inputs accepts AC signals in the 85–132 V range at 47–63 Hz, enabling direct interfacing with common industrial sensors such as pushbuttons, limit switches, and proximity devices.
