1746-IB16 is a 16-channel DC input module for Allen-Bradley SLC 500 controllers, configured as sinking DC inputs. The module accepts 10–30 V DC signals and provides 16 discrete inputs with a common reference, designed for use in a 1746 backplane within an SLC 500 rack. It draws backplane current of about 85 mA and exhibits an input response time around 8 milliseconds, making it suitable for reliable digital sensing from 24 V sensors, switches, and interlocks.
