Allen-Bradley 1746-IB8 8-Point DC Input Module

Allen-Bradley 1746-IB8 is an eight-point DC input module for the SLC 500 backplane that provides eight 24V DC sinking input channels sharing a single common. Each input draws a nominal 8 mA at 24V, enabling direct connection of field devices such as pushbuttons, sensors, or limit switches to the PLC backplane. The module is specified for 24V DC operation with a fast discrete input response, including a typical ON delay of about 0.1 ms and an OFF delay of about 0.25 ms at 24V, making it suitable for time-sensitive sensing in automation applications. As part of the 1746 I/O family, it interfaces with Rockwell Automation controllers to deliver reliable, real-time input status to the ladder logic or other control programs, and it can be combined with other 1746 DC I/O modules in a single rack to expand digital input capacity.
