Allen-Bradley 1746-IO12DC Digital Input Output Module

Allen-Bradley 1746-IO12DC is a DC-based combination input/output module for the SLC 500 1746 I/O backplane, packing 12 discrete points into a single slot. It provides six 10–30 V DC inputs and six relay contact outputs rated for 5–125 V DC or 5–265 VAC, enabling direct sensing of DC signals and switching of AC or DC loads through relays. The module supports up to 8 A of continuous output current across all six outputs and draws backplane power accordingly, with backplane current specifications around 60 mA at 24 V and about 80 mA at 5 V. When used in an SLC 500 system, it wires to the standard 1746 backplane, making it suitable for machine control tasks that combine digital input sensing with relay-actuated outputs, such as interlocks, indicator circuits, and discrete automation loads.
