Allen-Bradley 1746-ITB16 Digital Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1746-ITB16 is a 16-channel Fast Response DC input module for the SLC-500 family that provides sinking 24V DC digital inputs. It accepts 10–30 V DC signals and groups 16 inputs per common, drawing up to 85 mA from the backplane at 5 V. With a signal delay of 0.3–0.5 ms and an off-state current of about 1.5 mA, this module offers quick, reliable reading of discrete devices such as pushbuttons, limit switches, and sensors into an SLC-500 controller. It is designed for use in standard SLC-500 backplanes and supports fast input scanning in automation tasks. Note that Rockwell has discontinued the 1746-ITB16 as of September 30, 2024, and it is no longer available as a new part; buyers may need to source from distributors with awareness of legacy compatibility and potential lead times for remaining stock.
