Allen-Bradley 1746-NIO4V 4-Channel Analog Input Module
Allen-Bradley 1746-NIO4V 4-Channel Analog Input Module
Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1746-NIO4V is a 1-slot SLC 500 analog combination I/O module that provides two analog input channels and two analog voltage output channels in a single module, designed for the SLC 500 backplane. Each input channel is differential and can be configured per channel for either voltage or current, enabling flexible interfacing to sensors and transducers without needing separate AI and AO modules; this arrangement supports compact control schemes in automation where wiring and space are at a premium. The two outputs are fixed analog voltage outputs, and the module is configured and addressed in RSLogix 500 using two input words and two output words to map its channels on the rack, with channels not individually isolated from the backplane. The NIO4V is part of Rockwell's SLC 500 family and shares the same analog I/O architecture, simplifying integration and maintenance for legacy systems that require mixed analog input and voltage output in a single slot.
