Allen-Bradley 1746-NO4I SLC 500 4-Channel Analog Output Module
Allen-Bradley 1746-NO4I SLC 500 4-Channel Analog Output Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1746-NO4I is a four-channel analog output module for the SLC 500 PLC system, delivering four independent 0 to 20 mA current outputs that are commonly used to control analog devices such as proportional valves, dampers, and actuators in process and manufacturing environments. The module provides galvanic isolation between I/O and field wiring of up to 500 V ac and 710 V dc, helping protect the controller from faults and enabling flexible wiring topologies. In fixed SLC 500 configurations, the NO4I is powered from the 24 V dc user supply, with a typical module current draw of 55 mA and a maximum of 195 mA at 24 V, per 1746 I/O documentation. Rockwell Automation lists the 1746-NO4I as discontinued as of April 29, 2021, making it a legacy option and primarily relevant for existing installations or historical reference within the SLC 500 family.
