Allen-Bradley 1746-NO4V 4-Channel Analog Voltage Output Module
Allen-Bradley 1746-NO4V 4-Channel Analog Voltage Output Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1746-NO4V is a four-channel analog voltage output module for the SLC 500 PLC family. It provides four voltage-output channels on a single module, enabling a controller to produce analog signals that drive external devices such as actuators, valves, positioners, and other analog loads. The NO4V is designed for use in standard SLC 500 racks and is powered from the backplane’s 5V supply with an additional 24V DC power source, which can be supplied via the backplane or an external supply. The module’s four outputs are not individually isolated, sharing a common return path across all channels. As part of the 1746 I/O family, the NO4V integrates with ladder logic and function blocks to set per-channel voltage setpoints, delivering multi-channel control from a single module. Typical applications include process-control signal generation, proportional valve control, and multi-channel actuation tasks where discrete analog voltages are used to modulate external equipment. Because it is an AB legacy module, it complements other analog and digital I/O in the same rack, allowing compact, straightforward analog output without external signal conditioning when simple voltage control suffices.
