Allen-Bradley 1746-NT4 SLC 500 Analog Input Module
Allen-Bradley 1746-NT4 SLC 500 Analog Input Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1746-NT4 is a SLC 500 four-channel analog input module that accepts thermocouple and millivolt signals, delivering precise temperature and low-level voltage measurements in fixed or modular SLC 500 racks. Each of the four channels can operate in thermocouple or mV mode, enabling flexible sensing for process control, HVAC, or manufacturing environments. The unit draws power from the backplane with no external supply required, typically consuming about 60 mA from a 5 V backplane or about 55 mA from a 24 V backplane. Data is transferred to the controller with a documented update time of roughly 26 milliseconds to 1.2 seconds and an overall input resolution of 16 bits with 14 bits of data presented to the CPU. The 1746-NT4 is an open-style chassis I/O module in the SLC 500 family, designed to provide four discrete analog inputs in a compact form factor for reliable four-channel temperature or low-level voltage monitoring across multiple points in a system.
