The Allen-Bradley 1746-OA16 is a 16-point AC output module (Triac) for the SLC 500 discrete I/O system, designed to switch 100–240 VAC loads from sixteen independent channels. Each output uses a triac switch to control AC devices such as lighting and heating elements within the 100–240 VAC range, and the module plugs into a 1746 backplane in an SLC 500 rack for expansion of discrete control. Used with RSLogix 500 programming to configure the sixteen outputs as required by your control scheme, the 1746-OA16 integrates with other 1746-series I/O modules to support centralized industrial automation tasks.
