Allen-Bradley 1746-OG16 Output Module

Allen-Bradley 1746-OG16 is a 16-point TTL output module for Rockwell Automation's SLC 500 PLCs, delivering sinking digital outputs that switch to ground for 5 V DC TTL loads. It provides 16 individually addressable outputs that operate as low-true signals (OUT 0–OUT 15) when activated, making it suitable for interfacing with TTL logic, indicators, and small actuators in legacy automation panels. The module is specified for a nominal 5 V DC supply with an operating range of 4.5 to 5.5 V DC, and it draws backplane current from the SLC 500 backplane (approximately 0.18 A at 5 V). As a TTL sink module, loads are connected to +5 V and to the corresponding output terminals to receive a low-true signal. The 1746-OG16 is part of the 1746 I/O family and is used to expand digital output capability in SLC 500 installations without moving to higher-voltage or relay-based signaling.
