Allen-Bradley 1746-OV16 16-Channel DC Output Module

The Allen-Bradley 1746-OV16 is a 16‑channel DC sinking output module for the SLC 500 family, delivering 16 individual 24 V DC outputs with an operating range of 10 to 50 V DC and an open‑style chassis compatible with 1746 backplanes. Each channel can continuously sink up to 0.5 A at 30°C (0.25 A at 60°C), making it suitable for directly driving DC loads such as relay coils and small solenoids from a common +24 V supply. The module is configured to sink current to ground on activation, allowing loads to be wired to a positive DC source and switched by the PLC outputs. Designed to integrate with standard 1746 I/O racks, the 1746-OV16 expands DC output capacity without external relays and complements other SLC 500 I/O modules for compact control of multiple DC devices. With 16 points of sinking output within a 10–50 V DC window, it provides a straightforward, compact solution for centralized DC load switching in familiar Allen-Bradley control systems.
