The Allen-Bradley 1746-OV16 is a 16-point DC sinking output module for the SLC 500 family, designed to switch 24V DC loads under control of a Rockwell Automation controller. Designed to occupy a single backplane slot, it provides sixteen independently controlled DC outputs that sink current to ground, making it suitable for driving relays, indicators, or other 24V devices directly from the PLC I/O chassis. As part of the 1746 I/O family, the OV16 works with the SLC 500 system in standard 1746 backplanes, and its opposite, the OB16, is the sourcing variant; choose OV16 when your loads are wired to expect a sinking output configuration.
