Description:
Allen-Bradley 1746-OV8 is an eight-point SLC 500 DC output module that provides eight sinking outputs for discrete loads. Designed to operate from a 10 to 50 V DC supply with a 24 V DC signal output category, it sinks current from each load to the common return when energized. Each channel can deliver up to about 1 A, giving a total continuous module current rating of 8 A at 30 °C, while the backplane draws roughly 135 mA from the 5 V supply. This makes the OV8 suitable for driving relay coils, small DC solenoids, and other low-power DC loads directly from an SLC 500 controller.
