Allen-Bradley 1746-OW16 is a 16-channel relay output module for the SLC 500 family, delivering two banks of eight normally open relay contacts that switch AC or DC loads controlled by a legacy PLC CPU. It plugs into a 1746 backplane and is designed for use with SLC 500 controllers, enabling expansion of digital output capability without replacing the existing controller. The module supports a broad operating voltage range of 5-265 V AC or 5-125 V DC, allowing wiring for diverse loads. Each of the 16 outputs is a NO relay contact rated for up to 1.5 A at 120 V AC or 1.2 A at 24 V DC, suitable for energizing relays, solenoids, lights, or other actuators in industrial environments. Backplane current draw is approximately 170 mA at 5 V and 180 mA at 24 V, a consideration for power budgeting in racks with many I/O modules.
