Allen-Bradley 1746-OW16 SLC 500 16-Channel Relay Output Module

Allen-Bradley 1746-OW16 is a 16-channel relay output module designed for the SLC 500 programmable logic controller system. It provides 16 normally open relay contacts that the SLC 500 processor energizes to switch external loads. The module supports a broad field-switching voltage range of 5-265 VAC or 5-125 VDC, allowing it to drive a wide variety of AC and DC devices within those limits. As part of the 1746 I/O family, the OW16 mounts in a standard 1746 backplane and is wired to field devices via terminal blocks, with each channel acting as a discrete NO output that closes when its corresponding output is energized. The NO contacts provide galvanic isolation between the PLC and the controlled equipment, making it suitable for controlling solenoids, relays, lighting, and other actuators in automation applications.
