Allen-Bradley 1746OBP16 SLC 500 Output Module

The Allen-Bradley 1746-OBP16 is a 16-channel high-current DC output module for the SLC 500 family that sources 24 V DC to connected loads, enabling direct control of solenoids, relays, and other 24 V devices from an SLC 500 backplane. Operating from a 20.4–26.4 V DC supply, it offers either 1.0 A or 1.5 A per output (depending on revision), with a total module current rating of 6.4 A and a backplane draw of about 250 mA at 5 V. The module uses a fused common for protection, and its step response is roughly 60 ms to turn on and 2.5 ms to turn off, making it suitable for reliable 24 V load switching in industrial automation. It installs in standard 1746 backplanes in a one-slot footprint and is designed for SLC 500 systems requiring multiple high-current DC outputs.
