Allen-Bradley 1747-AENTR EtherNet IP Interface Module
Allen-Bradley 1747-AENTR EtherNet IP Interface Module
Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1747-AENTR EtherNet/IP Interface Module for the SLC 500 family is a two-port EtherNet/IP adapter that bridges the SLC backplane to an Ethernet network. Installed in Slot 0 (the leftmost slot) of a SLC 500 rack, it provides two RJ-45 Category 5 Ethernet ports configured as an Embedded Switch, supporting 10/100 Mbps Ethernet in half- or full-duplex mode and network topologies such as star, tree, daisy chain, and ring. The module draws 470 mA from the backplane at 5 V and dissipates about 2.49 W, with a continuous isolation rating of 50 V, and dimensions of approximately 5.72 in (H) x 1.37 in (W) x 5.15 in (D). Typical uses include migrating legacy SLC 500 I/O to Ethernet/IP networks or adding Ethernet connectivity for HMI or PLC interfaces, enabling EtherNet/IP communications between the SLC 500 rack and network devices.
