Allen-Bradley 1747-L514 SLC 500 PLC IO Module
Allen-Bradley 1747-L514 SLC 500 PLC IO Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1747-L514 is a SLC 500 modular processor unit used as the central controller in Rockwell Automation's SLC 500 modular I/O system. The L514 represents the 4K memory variant of the L5xx family, offering more program space than the earlier 1K L511 model. It is designed for use in a modular chassis alongside 1746 I/O modules to implement automated control tasks. Power requirements are 350 mA at 5V DC and 105 mA at 24V DC, with the 24V DC supply powering I/O and the 5V rail powering the processor. The processor provides a DH-485 communication port for serial network connectivity, and supports up to 30 I/O modules in the local I/O chassis, enabling scalable control within a single rack. As part of the SLC 500 modular hardware family, the 1747-L514 integrates into a 1747 chassis with a wide range of compatible I/O modules and supports the standard SLC 500 programming and communications tools. This makes it suitable for small to mid-sized manufacturing, packaging, or process automation tasks that require a compact yet capable control CPU in an industrial environment.
