Allen-Bradley 1747-L532 SLC 500 Digital I/O Module
Allen-Bradley 1747-L532 SLC 500 Digital I/O Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1747-L532 is a SLC 5/03 CPU processor unit for the SLC 500 modular PLC family, offered in revision 8. It provides 16 KB of memory and controls up to 4,096 digital I/O points with up to 480 analog I/O capacity when paired with appropriate I/O modules, enabling scalable control for manufacturing lines and batch processes. The processor includes DH-485 and RS-232 serial communication ports for programming, monitoring, and interfacing with other PLCs, HMIs, and devices on legacy networks. Program scan time is 1 ms, while I/O scan time can reach about 0.225 ms depending on configuration, and it draws up to 500 mA backplane current at 5 V. The L532 is designed for a 3-slot I/O chassis with support for up to 30 module slots in the chassis, suiting mid-sized control architectures. Operating temperature ranges from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, aligning with common factory environments. As part of the SLC 500 ecosystem, this Series C CPU integrates with existing Allen-Bradley I/O modules and legacy DH-485 networks, making it a portable option for upgrading or maintaining older automation systems.
