Allen-Bradley 1747-L532 SLC 500 PLC Processor Module
Allen-Bradley 1747-L532 SLC 500 PLC Processor Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1747-L532 is a SLC 5/03 CPU module for the SLC 500 controller family, delivering mid-range PLC processing in a compact, field-replaceable package. It provides 16K words of user memory, with 12K words allocated to program and data and 4K words for data-only storage, supporting ladder logic programs of moderate size and data handling. The processor offers DH-485 and RS-232 serial communications for network connectivity and diagnostics, and supports configurations with up to 4,096 digital inputs and 4,096 digital outputs, plus up to 480 local analog I/O points depending on the I/O scheme. The unit draws from the 1747 backplane, with a backplane current requirement of about 500 mA at 5 V DC, and is designed for industrial environments with an ambient operating range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. This CPU remains compatible with the broader SLC 500 ecosystem, enabling drop-in replacement or field repair of existing L532 installations and providing a stable platform for legacy control tasks where DH-485 networks are in use.
