Allen-Bradley 1747-L541 SLC 500 PLC Digital Module
Allen-Bradley 1747-L541 SLC 500 PLC Digital Module
Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1747-L541 SLC 500 CPU Processor Module is a SLC 5/04 central processing unit for the SLC 500 family. It provides 16K of user memory for ladder logic and data and includes DH+ and RS-232 communications ports for plant networking and programming. The module is programmed with RSLogix 500 (version 9.0 or later) and delivers a program scan time of 0.9 milliseconds per keyword with an I/O scan time of 0.225 milliseconds, supporting reliable performance in moderate-sized automation tasks. In typical configurations, the 1747-L541 supports up to 3 I/O chassis and offers DH+ networking plus an RS-232 serial port for device interface and programming. The unit handles up to 4096 inputs and 4096 outputs and provides up to 480 points of analog I/O, all within the fixed SLC 500 backplane architecture for scalable discrete and sequencing control. This CPU is commonly used in applications such as machine sequencing, timing, and interfacing with sensors and actuators in small to mid-size automation projects, and it remains compatible with the broader SLC 500 ecosystem of modules and backplanes.
