Allen-Bradley 1747-SDN DeviceNet Scanner Module

The Allen-Bradley 1747-SDN DeviceNet Scanner Module is a single-slot DeviceNet master for the SLC 500 family that plugs into the backplane to bridge an SLC 500 processor with a DeviceNet network. As the DeviceNet scanner, it polls up to 63 DeviceNet I/O devices and exchanges I/O data with the SLC 500 via the processor’s M0 and M1 data areas. Compatibility requires an SLC 5/03 or later processor, and 1747-SDN firmware 6.001 or later is used in standard configurations; installation and diagnostics are performed with Rockwell software such as RSNetWorx for DeviceNet and RSLinx. The module operates in a 1-slot backplane, serving as the primary DeviceNet master for deterministic I/O communications with DeviceNet-compatible sensors and actuators on the network.
