The Allen-Bradley 1747-SDN DeviceNet Scanner Module is a DeviceNet interface card for the SLC 500 family that enables a PLC to communicate with DeviceNet devices, bridging the SLC 500 backplane to a DeviceNet network. It installs in the rack and exposes a DeviceNet port via a 10-pin linear connector; on-board indicators show network activity and module status. Configured with a node address, the 1747-SDN supports a single DeviceNet network segment and can manage up to 63 DeviceNet I/O devices in its scanlist. This module is designed for use with SLC-500 processors (SLC 5/02 and newer) and integrates with Rockwell software for configuration and data exchange.
