Allen-Bradley 1747-SDN DeviceNet Scanner Module

The Allen-Bradley 1747-SDN DeviceNet Scanner Module, firmware revision 2.05, is a backplane-mounted DeviceNet scanner for the SLC 500 family that lets an SLC 500 processor act as the DeviceNet master by polling up to 63 DeviceNet-compatible I/O devices. Designed for SLC 500 controllers such as the 5/02 and newer, it plugs into a 1747 backplane in the rack and is configured with RSNetWorx for DeviceNet to map each DeviceNet device to the controller's data table. It supports up to 63 DeviceNet devices on the network and provides centralized DeviceNet scanning within the SLC 500 system, enabling data exchange with sensors, actuators, and other DeviceNet devices on the fieldbus. This module is used in automation projects where DeviceNet devices are integrated into an SLC 500 control scheme, with the 1747-SDN serving as the master that coordinates communications between the PLC and the DeviceNet devices.
