Allen-Bradley 1747-SN Remote IO Scanner Module

Allen-Bradley 1747-SN Remote I/O Scanner Module is the SLC 500 system interface that enables an SLC 5/02, 5/03, 5/04, or 5/05 controller to exchange data with remote I/O racks over the Remote I/O (RIO) link. As the scanner in the 1747 Remote I/O network, it coordinates data flow between the central processor and remotely located 1746 I/O chassis, using 1747-ASB adapters in the remote racks to connect the I/O modules to the RIO bus. In RSLogix 500 projects, the 1747-SN is configured to map I/O addresses across the network and monitor status and diagnostics across the RIO network, making it a key component for legacy AB automation setups that rely on distributed I/O. The module is installed in the SLC 500 chassis and supports standard RIO communications, enabling centralized control of geographically distributed I/O while preserving compatibility with older AB hardware.
