Allen-Bradley 1747-SN Remote I/O Scanner Module

The Allen-Bradley 1747-SN Remote I/O Scanner Module is the SLC 500 system’s RIO scanner that serves as the communication hub between a Rockwell SLC processor and remotely located I/O devices. Catalog Number 1747-SN, it enables data exchange over the legacy Remote I/O link with 1746 I/O chassis and other RIO-compatible devices, supporting SLC 5/02 through 5/05 processors. On the network, the scanner manages the flow of discrete I/O status and diagnostics between the central controller and field I/O, effectively distributing input and output points across the remote chassis. A 1/2-watt terminating resistor, included with the module, must be attached across line 1 and line 2 at each end of the RIO link to ensure proper line termination.
