Allen-Bradley 1747-SN SLC 500 Remote I/O Scanner

The Allen-Bradley 1747-SN Remote I/O Scanner is the master module that enables a Rockwell SLC 500 controller to coordinate a distributed Remote I/O network. Installed in the local SLC‑500 rack as a single‑slot module, it communicates with up to three remote I/O racks through the Remote I/O (RIO) link using standard 1747 cables (1747‑C10 or 1747‑C11), the blue hoses that connect the processor to remote I/O modules. As the RIO master, it manages data exchanges between the CPU and remote I/O modules and supports an I/O data table limit of 4,096 bits (inputs plus outputs) for the processor, compatible with SLC 5/02–5/05 processors and configured via RSLogix 500 workflows for rack addressing and data transfer across the network.
