Description:

Allen-Bradley 1756-OF4 is a four-channel, non-isolated analog output module for Rockwell Automation's ControlLogix system, designed to mount in a 1756 I/O chassis to drive external actuators with precise analog signals. Each of the four outputs can be configured to function as either a voltage or current output; in voltage mode it provides -10 to +10 V DC per channel, while in current mode it delivers 0 to 20 mA per channel, enabling compatibility with a wide range of industrial actuators and control loops. The module uses standard 20-pin connectors for the four outputs and is designed to work with ControlLogix backplanes and the associated firmware, with Rockwell listing firmware for 1756-OF4 as v3.013. There is a conformally coated variant, 1756-OF4K, for harsher environments. Typical applications include process control, valve and actuator control, pump regulation, and other industrial tasks requiring four independently commanded analog outputs from a ControlLogix controller. Because it is non-isolated, ensure proper wiring, grounding, and signal compatibility with the connected devices to maintain predictable behavior and avoid ground loops.
