Allen-Bradley 1756-CMS1B1 ControlLogix Compute Module
Allen-Bradley 1756-CMS1B1 ControlLogix Compute Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1756-CMS1B1 ControlLogix Compute Module is a compact, self-contained compute node that plugs into a ControlLogix 1756 backplane to extend your PLC system with onboard processing. It uses an Intel Atom dual-core CPU and 32 GB of solid-state storage, and runs Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 64-bit, enabling local computation alongside your controller logic. The module is part of the 1756 Compute Module family and does not include a pre-loaded application, so you provide your own software. The combination of CPU, SSD, and Windows OS supports tasks such as local data processing and hosting software that interfaces with 1756 I/O and other backplane modules, all without requiring a separate external PC. Its backplane integration preserves the familiar ControlLogix workflow while adding dedicated compute capacity in the rack. Designed for installation in a ControlLogix rack, it shares the backplane with I/O modules and the system backplane, enabling tighter integration between logic and compute tasks while remaining compact enough to fit in standard 1756 backplanes.
