Allen-Bradley 1756-CNB ControlNet Communications Bridge

The Allen-Bradley 1756-CNB ControlNet Bridge (Rev M02, BIN741) is a ControlLogix module that bridges a ControlNet network to the 1756 backplane, enabling data exchange between ControlNet devices and a ControlLogix controller. It provides two ControlNet interfaces (A and B) to connect ControlNet networks to the backplane and to route messages across networks, supporting bridging of ControlNet devices to other networks as described in Rockwell's ControlNet configuration guides. The module supports 40–48 ControlNet connections, consolidating I/O points from remote ControlNet devices into the ControlLogix data path, and includes USB bridging between the USB path and both the ControlNet network and the backplane. Electrical isolation between the ControlNet network and the backplane is rated at 30 V continuous, with the A/B channels designed to maintain proper isolation in redundant paths where applicable. It is designed for use in 1756 ControlLogix systems to integrate ControlNet devices and enable data routing between ControlNet networks and the ControlLogix controller.
