Allen-Bradley 1756-DMD30 ControlLogix Drive Module

The Allen-Bradley 1756-DMD30 ControlLogix Drive Module is a single-slot drive interface card for ControlLogix that links Reliance Electric SD3000 DPS drives to a SynchLink network. It provides the SD3000 interface and uses SynchLink communications to connect the DPS equipment to a ControlLogix chassis, enabling coordinated drive control from the PLC. The module supports both SD3000 6-Pulse and SD3000 12-Pulse configurations; for 6-Pulse systems it interfaces with S6 DC drives and S6R resolvers, while 12-Pulse systems connect to S12 DC drives and S12R resolvers. The 1756-DMD30 communicates over a SynchLink network at up to 5 Mbps, and occupies a single slot in the chassis, making it a straightforward drop-in interface for existing ControlLogix racks. Its role is strictly as a drive interface rather than a programmable controller, translating and relaying commands and status between the ControlLogix controller and the SD3000 DPS drives to support reliable, synchronized motor operation in automation applications. Compatible with common ControlLogix backplanes and widely used in industrial drive installations.
