Allen-Bradley 1756-DNB DeviceNet Communication Module

The Allen-Bradley 1756-DNB is a ControlLogix DeviceNet bridge/scanner module that acts as the single-port DeviceNet master for a ControlLogix system, interfacing the PLC with DeviceNet devices such as sensors, actuators, and I/O blocks. It supports up to 64 DeviceNet nodes on the network and handles data exchange between DeviceNet devices and the ControlLogix processor, configured with RSNetWorx for DeviceNet. The module provides DeviceNet communications at 125, 250, or 500 Kbps, with network distances corresponding to those speeds, and uses an open-style 5-pin DeviceNet connector for the trunk. It must be powered by a DeviceNet network that complies with SELV/PELV safety requirements per CE directives, and front-panel indicators aid status monitoring during commissioning. It is designed to slot into a ControlLogix chassis as part of the 1756 family, bridging DeviceNet devices to the controller.
