Allen-Bradley 1756-ENET Ethernet Interface Module
Allen-Bradley 1756-ENET Ethernet Interface Module
Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1756-ENET Ethernet Interface Module is a ControlLogix backplane communications interface that provides EtherNet/IP connectivity between a 1756 ControlLogix chassis and an Ethernet network. It offers two RJ-45 10/100 Mbps ports for network access, enabling primary and secondary paths on standard Ethernet/IP networks or daisy-chaining to other devices. IP addressing is configured through BootP or DHCP, or with static addressing, giving reliable TCP/IP communications and EtherNet/IP messaging between the controller, remote I/O devices, and servers. Mounted in a 1756 backplane slot, the ENET module integrates with the ControlLogix data path, supporting typical EtherNet/IP communications and seamless data exchange across industrial networks. Designers use it to connect PLCs to HMIs, SCADA systems, and other Ethernet-enabled equipment, expanding the reach of a ControlLogix system without sacrificing determinism or performance.
