Description:

Allen-Bradley 1756-EWEB EtherNet/IP Enhanced Web Server Module is a ControlLogix Ethernet/IP interface that adds a built-in web server to your EtherNet/IP rack, enabling browser-based viewing of controller data without bespoke HMI software. This 1756 module provides a single 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port and supports up to 64 TCP/IP connections, allowing multiple clients to access live tag information and status pages concurrently. It ships with firmware up to version 5.001 (V5.001) and is cataloged as 1756-EWEB (with a kit form variant 1756-EWEBK supported). Designed for installation in a standard ControlLogix chassis, the module communicates with the Logix backplane over EtherNet/IP to expose controller data to external networks. In addition to hosting web pages, the Enhanced Web Server Module offers CIP socket services accessible via MSG instructions, enabling data exchange with other devices and software while remaining integrated with the ControlLogix ecosystem. This combination of browser-accessible data, multi-client TCP/IP support, and programmable data exchange makes the 1756-EWEB suitable for lightweight remote monitoring, quick status checks, and straightforward integration with supervisory systems over a Rockwell Automation Ethernet/IP network.
