Allen-Bradley 1756-IA16 16 Channel Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA16 is a ControlLogix 16-channel digital input module that accepts 79–132 VAC signals on each channel, enabling direct connection of AC-powered sensors and switches to a 1756 backplane. This 16-point module occupies a single rack slot in a ControlLogix chassis and uses a 20-pin field-wiring interface to bring in all inputs, with per-channel status indicators and a module-health display to aid diagnostics. Compatible with standard 1756 I/O networks, it’s commonly used to monitor line-powered devices such as proximity switches, limit switches, and other 120 VAC sensors in industrial automation. The IA16 family also includes an isolated-input variant (1756-IA16I) for installations requiring channel isolation, while the non-isolated IA16 configuration handles 16 AC inputs across all channels on one card.
