Allen-Bradley 1756-IA16 16-Channel Analog Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA16 is a 16-channel digital input module for ControlLogix systems that directly interfaces with field devices at mains-level AC. Each of its 16 input channels accepts 79 to 132 VAC signals, enabling direct wiring of AC sensors, door switches, pushbuttons, and other remote signals without additional signal conditioning. The module uses a 20-pin field-wiring interface and mounts in a standard 1756 I/O backplane, feeding a 16-bit input word to the controller over the ControlLogix backplane. In operation, the state of each channel is read by the CPU as individual bits within that word, supporting typical industrial automation tasks where AC-powered inputs must be monitored across multiple points.
