Allen-Bradley 1756-IA16I ControlLogix AC Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA16I ControlLogix AC Input Module is a 16-point, isolated input card for ControlLogix backplanes that accepts 79–132 VAC signals (47–63 Hz) from field devices. Each of its inputs is independently isolated on a 36-pin interface, with an on-state current range of 5–15 mA (min 5 mA at 79 V, max 15 mA at 132 V) and an off-state voltage limit of 20 V with up to 2.5 mA off-state current; total backplane power is 0.71 W and power dissipation can reach 4.9 W at 60 °C. Activation timing includes Off-to-On delays up to 10 ms (plus a user-selectable input filter of 1–2 ms) and On-to-Off delays up to 8 ms (plus a filter of 9–18 ms), making it suitable for reliable 16-channel monitoring of discrete AC devices such as pushbuttons, limit switches, selector switches, relays, and other field inputs in ControlLogix systems.
