Allen-Bradley 1756-IA32 32-Point Digital Input Module
Allen-Bradley 1756-IA32 32-Point Digital Input Module
Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA32 is a ControlLogix 32-point digital input module that accepts 74–132 VAC signals and provides 32 discrete inputs to a ControlLogix backplane. This Series A AC digital input module uses removable terminal blocks (1756-TBCH or 1756-TBS6H) for field wiring and is designed for industrial automation where AC-powered switches or sensors feed the PLC. Electrical specs include a minimum on-state current of 5 mA at 74 VAC, a maximum on-state current of 15 mA at 132 VAC, and an off-state current of 2.5 mA, with a maximum power dissipation of 6.1 W at 60°C; backplane current draw is about 165 mA at 5 V and 2 mA at 24 V. The unit is intended to read AC input signals into a ControlLogix CPU, making it suitable for monitoring pushbuttons, relays, and other signaling devices in factory automation and process control.
