Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA32 ControlLogix AC Input Module is a 32-point digital input card for ControlLogix backplanes, providing 74–132 V AC (nominal 120 V) signals across 47–63 Hz and arranged as two 16-point groups for ease of wiring with removable terminal blocks. It specifies OFF-to-ON delays of 1.5 ms nominal (up to 10 ms) with a user-selectable filter of 1 ms or 2 ms, and ON-to-OFF delays of 1 ms nominal (up to 8 ms) with a user-selectable filter of 9 ms or 18 ms. Electrical characteristics include an input impedance of 14.0 kΩ at 132 V AC, 60 Hz; off-state voltage max 20 V; off-state current max 2.5 mA; on-state current min 5 mA at 74 V AC and max 15 mA at 132 V AC; and inrush current max 390 mA. The module’s electronics draw about 165 mA at 5.1 V and 2 mA at 24 V, with total backplane power around 0.9 W and maximum dissipation of 6.1 W at 60 °C (140 °F). This 32-point AC input module is part of the ControlLogix I/O family and is designed to interface AC field devices with the ControlLogix backplane for reliable sensing of industrial signals.
