Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IB16I is a 16‑point isolated DC digital input module for Rockwell Automation ControlLogix systems, delivering 16 independently isolated input channels that read 24 V DC signals from field devices such as sensors, switches, and prox sensors. It accepts a nominal 24 V DC input with an operating range of 10–30 V DC and provides up to 250 V continuous isolation between inputs, enhancing noise immunity and protecting the controller. Electrical specs include an on-state current of 2–10 mA (min 2 mA at 10 V, max 10 mA at 30 V), off-state current up to 1.5 mA, off-state voltage up to 5 V, and an inrush current up to 250 mA peak, with a maximum power dissipation of 5 W at 60°C. Typical current draw from a 24 V supply is about 3 mA, and field wiring is via removable terminal blocks.
